Sales Representative

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business through a variety of techniques. They will build a qualified stream of opportunities to achieve a monthly and quarterly sales goal. Just as important, we compensate based on performance and offer uncapped commissions. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the CEO.

  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, negotiating, and closing
  • Build and manage a qualified sales funnel of opportunities
  • Achieve a monthly/quarterly/annual sales goal
  • Set appointments via email/phone
  • Travel occasionally, including overnight stays
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and develop trusted relationships with clients
  • Manage a high volume of outbound contacts to uncover qualified sales opportunities
  • Navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process
  • Identify prospects’ business needs and goals to determine solutions
  • Develop and use professional account management tools and follow up procedures including documentation of all sales activity in Zoho

QUALIFICATIONS Experience/Education
  • 1-3 years of media sales and or PR/social media agency experience required
  • A strong, proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Ideally, you have called on a variety of categories including (but not limited to) food, service, fashion, and beauty.
  • Extra consideration given to candidates with both client and PR/Media agency contacts
  • Creative and strategic thinker, proven ability to deliver ideas, not just tactics
  • Proven ability to manage the sales process from prospect to close
  • Proven experience meeting and exceeding budgets

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with understanding of project management principles and processes
  • Robust knowledge of social media including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and emerging platforms Work harmoniously in a collaborative and transparent cross-functional environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
  • Prowess in all MS Office programs and Google apps and knowledge of CRM systems
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
  • You have a personal commitment to client service, both external and internal
  • A computer and consistent access to the internet; Ability to be successful and maintain motivation in a highly remote work environment
