Business Development Coordinator

Digiday Media is looking for a Business Development Coordinator to focus on growing revenue for Digiday Careers and Digiday Awards. This role is two parts sales, one part marketing.

Who you are
Hard-working and eager, you’re a self-starter who’s excited to get their start on the business development side of things. You’re well spoken, an excellent communicator and extremely organized. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and source prospects to join our growing careers product and awards program. You're also able to think strategically about how to optimize the acquisition process for these products.

Responsibilities
  • Play a lead role in growing revenue for Digiday Careers through both new business and growth from existing customers
  • Actively source and uncover new leads for job postings
  • Recruit entries for Digiday’s award programs in order to grow revenue and improve the cachet behind the program
  • Develop and refine strategies for growing revenue behind awards entries and Digiday Careers over time
  • Assist with refining the positioning and selling points for Digiday Careers
  • Recommend opportunities and new ideas for growth
  • Support the marketing team with other business development initiatives as necessary

Requirements

  • 0 - 1 years experience
  • Four year college degree
  • Experience or strong interest in a marketing or sales role
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well spoken, articulate
  • Extremely organized
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
  • when it comes to things like prospecting and cold outreach
  • Familiarity with media and marketing spaces a plus
