We have an exciting new role for a Social Media Manager who knows how to make things happen on all social media platforms. Working to support a team of social specialists, you will help to develop, maintain and grow Breakthrough’s online communities, as well as feeding back insights internally to ensure campaigns remain strategically sound.
As Social Media Manager, you will manage all social media channels and campaigns, to sustain an engaged audience experience. You will research and analyse social media trends, including social media advert suggestions and to improve social media presence and campaign efficiency. You will also be involved in content creation, collaborating with digital, creative and production departments to develop content that is relevant, engaging and sharable with our communities. It is important that you live and breathe all things social - you will be passionate, know what's trending and what works for specific audiences.
Managing all company social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat etc).
Developing engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which engage audiences and promote brand-focused messages
Coordinating paid social media; overseeing A/B testing, assigning budgets, messaging and implementation.
Developing content partnerships and liaising with contributors and influencers. Build lasting relationships with influencers, inviting them in for meetings, working with them on new content opportunities etc.
Helping to generate creative ideas during brainstorms.
Lead on design and development of social campaigns, in particular, messaging and content formats.
Monitor and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and native social advertising tools. Supporting campaign performance and reporting, and provide regular insights to drive optimisation.
Working independently and with in-house creative teams to create content in line with digital and social best practice.
Planing, writing and managing the distribution of engaging content through content calendars.
Researching stories and articles that will inform video content and blog posts.
Assisting in daily moderation of user-generated content, and analysis of audience trends, behaviours and content consumption – feeding this back internally to relevant stakeholders.
Lead on targeting strategies, reach desired audiences and ensure fan growth across all platforms.
Developing digital/social strategies for campaigns that will inevitably live on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc.
Pitching concepts and campaigns to the client. Regularly liaise with clients via telephone, email, conference calls or face-to-face.
Mentor junior staff such as a social media executives and co-orinators, through regular meetings and brainstorm sessions.
Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within your company (in-house roles)

Social (media) butterfly; someone who laps up online content, has a keen eye for an excellent social campaign and keeps one eye on digital trends at all times.
Advance understanding of Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics, and other social media analytics tools.
Familiarity with social and audience analysis tools
Great communicator with the ability to work both as part of a team on a project, and autonomously
Proactive, keen and ready to learn
