Introducing The Digiday WorkLife Awards, presented by Digiday Careers
New York, NY — Digiday Media is excited to announce the Digiday WorkLife Awards, presented by Digiday Careers, Digiday’s community for employers and professionals looking for career insights, content and new opportunities in media and marketing.
The program will recognize the employers providing the best work environments in media and marketing as well as the values and cultural initiatives that make those companies unique.
“With this program, we wanted to not only recognize some of the best places to work in the industries Digiday Media covers, but also the values and initiatives that go into developing a really strong culture,” says Digiday Marketing Manager, Kevin Lee. “The best places to work are often about more than what’s on the job description. They’re about the experiences and the interactions that motivate employees to want to be in the same room.”
The impact that company culture has on organizations looking to attract, build and retain the best talent has never been more important. According to research from a recent edition of The Beat, a Digiday Pulse report, 40% of agencies are seeing turnover rates of over 20%. This means there is certainly room for improvement and companies are looking for better ways to relate to employees.
“Understanding how to establish company culture is one of the most important elements to building a great business,” says Digiday Media CEO Nick Friese. “It’s a conversation we constantly hear about in our industry and companies are always searching for the right formula to solve that elusive cultural equation. But the thing is, it’s different for each and every company, and that’s what makes it such a unique challenge and more importantly, a priority. We could not be more proud to debut this program as we understand the value that culture brings to this industry.”
